TITLE:  Marketing Specialist/Project Coordinator

STATUS:  Exempt (Salaried)

REPORTS TO:  Vice President

General Job Description:

The Marketing Specialist/Project Coordinator-- multi-faceted and evolving position. Responsibilities include assisting with overall communications and marketing plan -- focusing specifically on digital communications. In addition, this position will be responsible for applying and improving data base management. Position reports to the Vice President.

The successful Marketing Specialist/Project Coordinator will be an effective part of a team as well as motivated to work independently; utilize creative writing and organizational skills to assist with brand awareness through social media and digital platforms.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development marketing and communications plan to support member support, growth, retention, and outreach efforts
  • Work with supervisor to refine social media strategy and best practices
  • Assist in creating and managing a communications calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
  • Research, write, edit, and design monthly newsletters, member and employee engagement communications, articles
  • Social media campaign management to include Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly
  • Website analysis and management to increase edHEALTH's visibility
  • Maintain website copywriting, proofing, and updating as needed
  • Ensure proper messaging is being executed online
  • Prepare monthly updates and reports to track growth and success rates of all campaigns
  • Write and edit collateral marketing materials, such as brochures and presentations
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Responsible for database management (Constant Contact, HubSpot, Box) to include regular maintenance
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective member data, and provide recommendations to the team
  • Support Member Meetings to include Plan Design and Annual Member Meetings
  • Support external activities related to conferences, association presentations
  • Assisting other team members with day-to-day activities, projects, meeting coordination
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Full time exempt (40 hours/week)
  • Work from home
  • Business Admin Degree or equivalent and 3 – 5 years of related professional work experience
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry, specifically captives preferred
  • Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional ability to manage details
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs
  • Liaise and consult with members and staff
  • Understands, or has the interest and ability to learn, emerging platforms, digital media, and web/social media management and measurement tools
  • Innovative and risk-taking
  • Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative; reliable and dedicated to high quality work
  • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
  • Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, attentive to details and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must have good sense of humor
