Northbridge, MA (June 11, 2024) edHEALTH announced today that Ben Hammond, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer from The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, was elected to the Educators Health LLC Board of Managers and the Educators Health Insurance Exchange Cell Subscribers Advisory Committee.

“Now that edHEALTH has expanded to include private secondary schools, we want to ensure that their specific needs are being addressed. That is why we invited Ben to join our Boards. His knowledge of educational institutions is extensive, and his experience will support edHEALTH’s strategic direction while also providing fiduciary oversight to edHEALTH LLC and edHEALTH Captive,” says Steve Hannabury, Chair of both the edHEALTH LLC Board of Managers and edHEALTH Captive Subscribers Advisory Committee.

As Lawrenceville’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Hammond has primary responsibility for the School’s business operations, financial management, budget and financial planning, and endowment and other assets. He played a key role in the edHEALTH coalition during its first few years. Hammond also held leadership positions at Mount Holyoke College and Princeton University. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant at McKinsey.

“We are so fortunate to welcome Ben back to edHEALTH. Ben understands the value our coalition can bring to other educational institutions, and he’s enthusiastic about sharing Lawrenceville’s experience with others needing to control healthcare costs. He also supports the additional services that come with being a part of edHEALTH and is the perfect person to help us find new resources for our member-owners,” notes A.
