June 3, 2024 (Northbridge, MA) – edHEALTH, a coalition of educational institutions providing greater healthcare-related savings and services through group purchasing, ownership, and data-driven programs, announced today that independent college-preparatory school Wilbraham & Monson Academy has joined edHEALTH effective June 1, 2024.
“Wilbraham & Monson Academy is our third new edHEALTH member-owner this year, and I couldn’t be happier,” said edHEALTH President and CEO A. Tracy Hassett. “Adding another secondary school clearly demonstrates the value we can bring to a wide range of educational institutions.”
Wilbraham & Monson Academy, an independent, college-preparatory, coeducational middle and upper school for approximately 400 boarding and day students in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, looked to edHEALTH for savings and a better healthcare experience for their faculty and staff. The school’s Chief Financial Officer Patricia Gallagher noted, “When I came on board WMA last July and learned of our healthcare needs, I immediately thought of edHEALTH. I previously worked at a founding member school and kept track of edHEALTH’s growth through the years.” Gallagher added, “When I saw edHEALTH was growing in the secondary school space, I knew that WMA would fit well within their member-owned collaborative model.”
“Reuniting with Patty Gallagher, whom I’ve respected for nearly 15 years, at this time is perfect all around. Her comprehensive financial knowledge in higher education and secondary schools will be advantageous in moving the captive forward. We are so fortunate to have her back on the team,” said Hassett.
